Aside from the dates I think it’s bang on. Maybe it’s already happend and were just living the memory of it.

OLED is also flexible, transparent, organic, polymer plastic and displays digital information. They have just started using it ‘IN’ slim screens. It is also a new alternative light source. They’re going to be rolling reams of this crap off. Every building in Vegas is going to be wallpapered with it.

ubamilitary January 30, 2010 at 2:49 am

@Hivemind5747: Source?

ubamilitary January 30, 2010 at 3:27 am

@pezmnstr : there’d be some sort of prototype release before it came out. Something in popular science, even. Those things don’t just fly out like that. this video expressed mass production and standardized digital paper. Something not possible in the next 5 years given our current time. By the end of 5 years, it is POSSIBLE, for digital paper to be be every-day item.

ubamilitary January 30, 2010 at 3:36 am

@yourliver1: OLED isn’t digital paper. It’s a slim screen.

yourliver1 January 30, 2010 at 4:27 am

its already here. OLED television. Soon it’ll be everywhere… on every surface.

Hivemind5747 January 30, 2010 at 5:13 am

Plastic paper has existed for a while now, but just recently it has become commercially viable, all the big electronics firms have just started to release advanced prototypes of digital paper, so I’d bet that by 2011 we’ll have at least one on the market.

kaikovich January 30, 2010 at 5:54 am

But in a virtual world, you could not use your muscles in the same way as real world. You could perceive sensations, but not interact

pezmnstr January 30, 2010 at 6:43 am

you guys have to keep in mind that technological advancement triples itself every 6 months. and continues to expand exponentially, so plastic paper could exist in even 6 months from now.

zensatodreams January 30, 2010 at 7:22 am

excellent video but i hope its wrong about the future

ubamilitary January 30, 2010 at 7:35 am

@Gine012 : yeah I meant it’s one year away. This video is total shit. It’ll be 2015 and 2020 and none of this will happen. Amazon buying YAHOO?! other way around.

Gine012 January 30, 2010 at 7:49 am

it was 2011 but yeah you are right…not gonna happen…they talk about it but technology is not evolved to that point yet

clanOT January 30, 2010 at 8:00 am

why would google buy microsoft?? they will just make their own OS and displace them. and amazon is not a big company, compare it to banks or oil.. they have no power like that

ubamilitary January 30, 2010 at 8:44 am

2010 and your plastic paper isn’t even known yet. “Mass production”. Ha.

hugodom January 30, 2010 at 9:04 am

Awesome video.
At the beginning the information was very creative, but I got scared with the vision of the future. Is the Matrix something real in the future?
Are we gonna evolved in to the humans showed in Wall-E?
Oh God, now I’m really worried….

devojane January 30, 2010 at 9:46 am

Riiight… sweet dreams, dude.

drahunter213 January 30, 2010 at 10:13 am

i find it funny that it shows that thing at the end….some of you know what im talking about…very hush hush

drahunter213 January 30, 2010 at 10:41 am

its a big chance!! we’ll see when we get to the future…in time :P

MBSCommunication January 30, 2010 at 11:06 am
